Your journey begins with an early departure from Marrakech as you travel through the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest mountain pass in Morocco. Along the route, enjoy panoramic views of traditional Berber villages, terraced fields, and dramatic mountain landscapes.

Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco’s most iconic ksars. Explore its ancient earthen architecture and discover the filming locations of famous movies and series such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After lunch, continue to Ouarzazate, often called the “Gateway to the Sahara,” where you may stop for photos near the Atlas Film Studios or Taourirt Kasbah.

In the afternoon, travel through the Valley of Roses and the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs before arriving in the beautiful Dades Valley. Admire the stunning rock formations and winding roads before checking into your hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, continue your adventure toward the impressive Todra Gorge, a spectacular canyon with towering cliffs reaching up to 300 meters high. Enjoy free time to walk along the river and take in the dramatic scenery popular with climbers and photographers.

The journey then continues through palm groves and desert towns toward Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops and as the gateway to the Sahara Desert. From here, head to Merzouga, home to the magnificent golden dunes of Erg Chebbi.

Upon arrival, begin an unforgettable camel trek across the dunes while enjoying the magical colors of the sunset over the Sahara. Arrive at your desert camp where you will experience traditional Berber hospitality, enjoy dinner under the stars, and spend the night in a comfortable desert camp surrounded by the silence of the dunes.

Wake up early to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara dunes before breakfast at the camp. Return by camel or 4x4 vehicle to Merzouga and begin the journey back toward Marrakech.

Travel through Rissani, a historic desert town famous for its traditional souk and rich caravan history. Continue through the scenic Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest valley, lined with thousands of palm trees, kasbahs, and picturesque oases.

After passing again through Ouarzazate and crossing the majestic High Atlas Mountains, arrive back in Marrakech in the evening, bringing your unforgettable Sahara adventure to an end.
